Today, the Bank of Canada announced that it is NOT changing interest rates. The overnight rate remains at 2.25% The prime rate stays at 4.45% What does this mean for you? Bank of Canada chose not to change rates today. The overnight rate remains at 2.25% with the Prime Rate sitting at 4.45%. Now remember, this directly impacts those with a Variable/Adjustable Rate Mortgage. This does not directly impact Fixed Rates.
